The Bradley Lumber Company was founded in 1902 in Warren, Arkansas. It survived the Great Depression of the 1930’s, tornadoes in 1949 and 1975, several devastating fires, and the ups and downs of many market cycles. In World War II, “The Bradley” made ammunition boxes, military crates, timbers and even hardwood ski blanks (for the Finnish army). For many years the largest flooring mill in the world was at the Bradley Lumber Company. Furniture, wall panels, decking, cabinetry, stairs and many other products were proudly and painstakingly made at “The Bradley”.

In 2002, after more than 100 years of continuous operation, “The Bradley” was closed. I had many friends and patients that I had treated for over 20 years who lost their jobs. They had put their heart and soul in an institution that was almost as old as the town of Warren. It was just not right to see it closed. I, along with my wife Michelle, bought it in September of 2002. We bought logs and dutifully the skilled and competent workers returned and began sawing lumber in November 2002.
Lumberjack Table and Chairs
We have continued to expand and are once again building solid, 100% American made, heirloom furniture. Our master craftsmen use the finest hardwood. We build each piece by hand and we build it to last. We do not use any particle board, MDF, paper or plastic. It is heavy, stout and it will last several lifetimes. You can not wear it out and you will have a difficult time tearing it up. WE GUARANTEE YOUR SATISFACTION OR YOUR MONEY BACK!!

We can only build so many quality pieces of furniture in a year. We do not mass produce a jillion pieces——every piece is unique. We will custom build to your specifications or you can choose from our developed product line. We do not pay any import fees or any shipping across the ocean. We do not have a television advertising budget.

We make things to last generations — by hand— out of solid hardwood, and sell it for a fair price. It is not cheap. It is valuable. We do ask that you show our furniture to your friends and neighbors. If they like it, give them our number or website. Word of mouth and a satisfied customer is our best advertising. This obviously makes it imperative that you be completely satisfied with our product. If you are not, please contact me.

Sincerely,

David Chambers, M.D
